NCHS GIRLS Division 2 United States National Champions: 2014; National runner up 2013; 9th 2016
The NCHS girls’ team won their ninth consecutive state championships in 2014--the first girls’ team to do so in Washington State cross country history. In addition, the girl’s team has received Scholastic academic team awards from the WIAA every year from 2006-2016. We stress the importance of academics in our program year in and year out. The NCHS girls’ team also received special recognition and a resolution from the Washington state 2014 legislature for their consistent outstanding student-athlete achievement over the past decade. The girl's team is tied with Sehome High School for the most girls’ high school cross country championships in Washington State cross country history (nine state championships). They also have the all-time state best for the most girls who participated on four consecutive state cross country championships during their high school career.
NCHS Boys Team
State Champions: 2008, 2009, 2014, 2015, 2016
NCHS Boys Division 2 United States National Champions: 2014, 2015 (Co-National Champions in 2015), 2016
The boys team won the Washington state cross country championship meets in 2008, 2009, 2014, 2015, and 2016. In addition, the NCHS guy’s team broke the state cumulative time course record in 2014 for their division. The broke their own school cumulative time record at the 2016 district championships as well. Moreover, the guys consistently win scholastic awards from the WIAA for outstanding academic achievement.
The boys also won the National Division 2 cross country championships in 2014, 2015 (Co-Champions), and 2016.
The boys team has qualified for seventeen consecutive Washington State Cross Country Championships--the longest active streak among boys teams in Washington State.
The NCHS girls and boys were both ranked as the top cross country teams in the United States in 2014. Our teams had the number 1 combined girls and boys team ranking in the nation (2014) as well.
Northwest Christian High
School has produced six individual state cross country champions in the last twelve years. Luke Schilter, is ranked as the number 2 runner in the nation within Division 2 in 2016.
